Visiting NOFIMA
On the 15th of November, IDN visited the research institute NOFIMA together with a Polish delegation with companies from the processing industry.
On the 15th of November, IDN visited the research institute NOFIMA together with a Polish delegation with companies from the processing industry. Nofima is one of the largest institutes for applied research within the fields of fisheries, aquaculture and food research in Europe. They supply internationally renowned research and solutions that provide competitive advantages along the complete chain of value. They have offices at several locations in Norway and IDN visited the one in Ås, just outside Oslo.
During the visit, we were introduced to NOFIMA and their research by Camilla Røsjø (Director, Division Food Science). Further on Scientist Rune Rødbotten gave an introduction to some of the research projects on food that NOFIMA have been part of. Research Director Helga Næs presented their research on food packaging, all being very relevant for the Polish companies. At their location in Ås NOFIMA has several living labs that is used for different types of testing. NOFIMA is a potential knowledge partner for International projects and IDN looks forward to cooperating with them in the future.
