On the 26th and 27th of September, a matchmaking event for companies and organisations within the waste management and recycling industry were held in Vilnius, Lithuania. IDN participated the event and also attended the B2B session, meeting interesting companies from Lithuania discussing future cooperation both in Norway and abroad.

The event was organized by The Lithuanian Agency for Science, Innovation and Technology (MITA) with Lithuanian Ministry of Economy and The Norwegian Government Agency. Several Norwegian key players were present together with more than 50 Lithuanian companies and institutions. Among the speakers was Innovation Norway, COWI, MPEX, The Oslo Waste to Energy Agency and the Lithuanian Municipal Services and Waste Management Associations (LKATA).

IDN has not had any projects with Lithuanian partners before and we are therefore seeking new possibilities in the country. The waste management sector has reached a good level in the country but the potential for improvement is still high, especially regarding waste treatment in the industry.
