Ruxandra Ionce, MSc, is specialised in Environmental Geography, having graduated from the Alexandru Ioan Cuza University in Iași. Her research in the field of Earth Sciences, with a particular emphasis on abandoned mining sites from the North East region of Romania, was published in established national and international science journals and is complemented by practical experience in project implementation and management both in the NGO and industrial sector. Her main focus areas are: contaminated mining sites, biodiversity conservation, natural resource management and geopolitics of natural resources.
